Glover Sewer Ordinance 1-22-15
The Selectboard of the TOWN OF GLOVER adopted an amended SEWER USE ORDINANCE on January 22, 2015. THE ORDINANCE REGULATES THE USE OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SEWERS AND DRAINS, THE INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION OF BUILDING SEWERS, AND THE DISCHARGE OF WATERS AND WASTES INTO THE PUBLIC SEWER SYSTEMS AND PROVIDES PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF.

THE REVISIONS change the ordinance from a criminal to a civil ordinance, add requirements pertaining to the cleaning of grease interceptors, and make minor changes to update the language of the ordinance.
NOTE: this ordinance regulates connections to the Glover sewer system only, it does not regulate individual on-site septic systems.

RIGHT TO PETITION: This Ordinance was adopted on January 22, 2015 and will take effect on Monday, March 16, 2015 unless a petition signed by at least five percent of the voters of Glover is filed with the Town Clerk by Monday, March 2, 2015 asking for a vote to disapprove the Ordinance. If a petition is received, the Glover Selectboard will warn a Special Meeting and the voters may vote on that question.
