On August 25th The Glover Rain Garden Project will begin

Memphremagog Watershed Association and Northwoods Stewardship Center Conservation crew will begin the excavation of the planned areas. Reilly Auger will be excavating – Mike Pray and crew will be supplying Grant required In-Kind Services to support Reilly.

There will be two opportunities to help with digging and planting existing flowers at the Municipal Building (Town Clerk’s Office).  It is a great opportunity to be part of the Glover Rain Gardens.

On August 22, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  we will dig up plants and clean the roots of those plants, so as not to capture the invasive vine and weeds, then re-pot to save for the planting day, which will be August 29.

You can save a slip for your own personal gardens if you wish. It is important to know that the mint is very invasive. You should put it in a container or where you do not mind it taking over.

Some of these plants will be used near the bridge area and some in the gardens.

We gathered lupin seeds and another seed yesterday and they will be processed for the new gardens.

If there is time to spare, it would be great to clean up the tree line of the invasive vine and misc. debris.  It is very overgrown and could use some care.  Bring Clippers for this.

On August 29th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, we will be planting new plants from Kate Butler along with the seeds that were gathered and the plants we set aside.

Please let me know if you are interested in being here.  Please share with anyone who would like to help.

Tell me which days you can help out. Please respond.

Bring tools (mark them) of your choice, gloves, lunch, and water.

If you have left over pots from summer planting bring those!

See attached below agreement.
